JOB PURPOSE

Fund Manager’s primary responsibilities includes develop strategies for portfolio construction. The Fund Manager should manage the risk and generate superior alpha above the benchmark and peers.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing strategies to outperform respective benchmarks & peers and maximizing returns for the portfolio.
  • Develop strategies for portfolio construction in consonance with policy and guidelines, ensuring compliance with the regulatory and internal guideline for the investment function.
  • Make periodic presentations to the leadership team on investment strategy, market outlook and risk facing the portfolio.
  • Monitor and analyze existing investments, report and make recommendations on portfolios.
  • Managing the risk profile of the Equity Portfolio to generate superior risk adjusted returns to the scheme.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Analytical Skills using tools like excel, power bi, PPT, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of the Equity markets.
  • Thorough knowledge to use Bloomberg, cogencis, etc.
  • Strong conviction of one’s viewpoints.
  • Strong Negotiation skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA specializing in business, finance, or investment with an added advantage of CFA certification.
  • A proven track record of at least 5-10 years as an independent Fund Manager, demonstrating independence and expertise.
  • Proficient in independently managing large Equity Portfolios with scheme size exceeding Rs. 5,000/- Crs.
  • Consistently achieving top quartile performance during the last 3-4 years.
